BSc (Hons) - Counselling & Mental Health
Level 5 - Management Coaching & Mentoring
Currently a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and working towards my accreditation with British professional body, The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
My approach is primarily person-centered and collaborative. I work closely with clients to identify their goals and develop a personalised treatment plan, utilising a range of techniques including mindfulness, cognitive-behavioural therapy, and solution-focused therapy.
I am particularly passionate about supporting individuals through loss, grief, and bereavement. As part of my Continuing Professional Development (CPD), I am actively pursuing courses in suicide awareness and self-harm prevention.
I tailor interventions to each client’s unique needs, drawing from a range of techniques I have successfully applied during my training and experience. These include unconditional positive regard, empathy, congruence, and CBT-based strategies like cognitive defusion, journaling, and mindfulness. I also work collaboratively with clients to explore childhood experiences to identify potential origins of issues, if they are comfortable doing so. Additionally, I utilise resources such as Blob Trees, emotion wheels, and decisional balance exercises to help clients explore and understand their feelings.
Sessions will be delivered remotely, via an appropriate platform of the client's preference (Telephone/WhatsApp - audio or video call, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams).
As part of my continuing professional development, I have completed suicide awareness training with the Zero Suicide Alliance (ZSA). In addition to this, I am continuously undertaking courses provided by the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) to aid my professional development.
Ready to work alongside you on this journey, whenever you are ready. Don't hesitate to get into contact with me!
